Larry & Claire Boggs

Eagle’s Nest Children’s Home founders, Larry and Claire Boggs, were sent out by New Spring Church (Wichita, Kansas) in 1978 to plant and build churches in Guatemala. Soon after arriving to Guatemala, God presented them with the opportunity to provide a safe haven for abandoned and abused children. Through their hard work and the Lord’s leading, their first children’s home was established in 1984 in Quetzaltenango. In 2005, they moved the Home to the current location in Sololá, and renamed it “Nido del Águila” (Eagle’s Nest).

Whereas most people began to consider retirement and slowing down at this point in life, Larry and Claire continue to find ways to serve the people within their communities of Kansas and Oregon, and also in Guatemala! They faithfully serve the many pastors and churches they helped establish through their 40+ years of full-time mission work in Guatemala. Additionally, they actively serve on the board of Nido del Águila (association through Guatemala).
